Description of problem: As of current Fedora 25, the gnome-shell is using mouse-pointer coordinates which do not agree with those of the visual location of the mouse pointer. As a consequence, response to click events is completely erratic and the GNOME desktop is unusable. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): gnome-shell-3.21.90.1-1.fc25 How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start GNOME on Wayland guest session with video device virtio. 2. Move mouse pointer from left to right just below the GNOME panel and click the right mouse button. Actual results: Deskop context menu appears at increasingly lower vertical position although the vertical position of the mouse pointer is kept roughly constant. As a consequence, the position of the mouse pointer and that of the desktop context menu deviate more and more: when the mouse pointer reaches the upper right corner of the desktop, then the desktop context menu appears in its -lower- right corner. Expected results: Desktop context menu appears at the location of the mouse pointer. Additional info: - comparison with the GNOME on Xorg case is not possible because of bug 1366842. - normal behaviour with the QXL video device but the latter is only usable under GNOME on Xorg and not under GNOME on Wayland because of bug 1266484.
Issue also present for GNOME on Wayland guest session using the QXL video device.
