Patch to the F24 kernel package which applies the patch.

For the past couple of weeks I've been desperately trying to figure out why my NFS servers started crashing after updating my clients from F23 to F24. It turns out that there's a bug in the NFS client, which should have been present in F23 as well but seemingly never manifested. That bug was fixed early in the 4.8 merge window by bdc54d8e3cb4a41dddcabfd86d9eb3aa5f622b75.

Would you please consider adding that patch to our tree until it makes it upstream? I've requested that the patch go into the stable tree but I don't know if or when that will happen.

I've attached a patch to the F24 branch of our kernel package; I don't know if it's useful to you in that format but maybe it will save you a few seconds. Plus it gets my name in the changelog…

Actually proper patch

Might be nice to actually include the proper patch.

Comment 2 Laura Abbott 2016-08-29 21:41:33 UTC
Some other patches came in so it was just easier to apply the patch from scratch. Thanks for taking the time to make a patch. This will show up in the next build for f24/f23 which will either be 4.7.3 or an incremental of 4.7.2 if the next stable release is slow

Awesome, thanks so much.
