Supported Operating Systems Describe the issue: Add "3.3" to OSE requirements
I have updated the "Chapter 3. Support Requirements" with OpenShift supported versions. I see '3.2 and later' has been updated under 'OpenShift Container Platform' in the above link. Moving the bug to verified.
Divya, As discussed and suggested, i'm pasting a few suggestions from my side in this BZ: 1. Table 3.1. Supported Operating Systems --> Why are we calling it as Operating Systems?? IMO, it shouldn't be called as OS 2. I think we should mention OpenShift Enterprise 3.2 and OpenShift Container Platform 3.3 separately as the supported versions to avoid any confusion 3. Subscribe to the OpenShift Enterprise 3.2 repo --> this should be either removed to moved to a separate section to avoid any confusion. Also, by default, we should first mention about 3.3 repo ONLY 4. Subscribe to the OpenShift Container Platform 3.3 repo --> We should also add --enable="rhel-7-server-rpms" to it as it has a dependency on the package "git" Can you please check and update the guide if these suggestions seems to be valid? -Prasanth

I think we should mention OpenShift Enterprise 3.2 and OpenShift > Container Platform 3.3 separately as the supported versions to avoid any > confusion We always mention it as "x.y and later". Hence, to maintain consistency across the docs, retaining it as is. > > 3. Also, by > default, we should first mention about 3.3 repo ONLY This guide is applicable for both 3.2 and 3.3 versions of OpenShift. I have updated the text to make it clear that you need to subscribe to 3.2 or 3.3 repository. > > 4. Subscribe to the OpenShift Container Platform 3.3 repo --> We should also > add --enable="rhel-7-server-rpms" to it as it has a dependency on the > package "git" Updated the command to "# subscription-manager repos --enable=rhel-7-server-ose-3.3-rpms --enable=rhel-7-server-rpms" for 3.3 and for 3.2 as: # subscription-manager repos --enable=rhel-7-server-ose-3.2-rpms --enable=rhel-7-server-rpms Link to the latest doc: https://doc-stage.usersys.redhat.com/documentation/en/red-hat-gluster-storage/3.1/single/red-hat-gluster-storage-container-native-with-openshift-platform/#chap-Documentation-Red_Hat_Gluster_Storage_Container_Native_with_OpenShift_Platform-Support_Requirements_2 Moving the bug back to ON_QA. > > Can you please check and update the guide if these suggestions seems to be > valid? > > -Prasanth
