Description of problem:
In both FC2 and 3 upgrading from RH9 results in a system that is
unable to read the installation cds when an attempt is made to install
additional components. The result of attempting to install additional
components from the installation discs results in a system unable to
read cds until reboot.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
all

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Update a RH9 system
2.Attempt to install additional components from installation cd.
3.

Actual Results: Installer could not read cd

Expected Results: Component should have installed

Additional info:

Rebooting and then reading the cd as a normal operation usually works.
You may then install any of the individual rpms on the disc. These
appear to install correctly.

This should be fixed with newer versions of system-config-packages
