On RHEL7, nose version 1.3.0 is used.
Nose is in maintenance mode for several years and the latest upstream version (1.3.7) includes several fixes that will help with projects that still use nose.

A specific one had caused some pain: https://github.com/nose-devs/nose/issues/523
 and limited us from using several nose features.

If it is possible, it will be helpful to rebase to the latest 1.3.7 version.
