Description of problem: Under current Fedora 25, changes to drive settings are not retained: e.g. when changing APM settings of a hard disk, the user interface seems to accept the change and the password dialog window pops up and asks for the root password. However, after honouring this request, the settings window stays open in front of the main window. Clicking the "Ok" button has no effect. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): gnome-disk-utility-3.22.0-1.fc25 How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Change APM settings of hard disk by modifying drive settings and entering the root password. Actual results: Settings window stays open in front of the main window. Expected results: Settings window gets closed after new values have been applied. Additional info: - The gnome-disk-utility used to work as expected at least until two weeks ago as verified with live image Fedora-Workstation-Live-x86_64-25-20160910.n.0. - Under current Fedora 24, everything works as expected.
The issue is absent after booting the system in permissive mode.
Could you test it and then attach output of: # ausearch -m AVC -ts recent Thanks.
Created attachment 1205986 [details] Trailing lines of /var/log/audit/audit.log caused by running gnome-disks (In reply to Lukas Vrabec from comment #2) There are none. There are, however, additional lines appended to /var/log/audit/audit.log after launching gnome-disks and trying unsuccessfully to change the APM settings of the disk drive (see attachment).
