I see this too. I even tried setting the PATH and JAVA_HOME to use the Oracle JRE first, with the same result.
The problem exists also on fedora 25
@Xavier Can you please verify that you have the right configure option set for libbluray. Please provide a scratch build to verify if that fix this issue. Thx
The problem was not a configure option, but rather libjvm.so search paths not suitable for Fedora. I've added a patch to the below build and tested it ok with a bd-j bluray I eventually put my hands on... http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=16675894
Hi Xavier, you almost succeeded - I could play my first BD with JAVA menus on fedora 25 but there is a new problem - search media disc causes a crash - I would like to open a new incident, but I do not know to where the dump is written. To reproduce the problem you do not need a BD image - problem occurs also for DVD Take care, Winfrid
Hi Winfrid, Thanks for testing. I had only tested with xine yesterday, but now I tested on xine, vlc and player, and all 3 are fine with BD-J now, so I'll likely close the bug once I've made a real build. Oh, and btw, the patch I added to this scratch build of libbluray has already been committed upstream. Could you please try with a different player than vlc to pin-point the issue ? I believe the problem you are seeing now with vlc is different than the BD-J issue at hand (and thus, a new bug should be opened against vlc). Regards, Xavier
BluRay disks now play with menus for me too. Thanks for fixing
