Description Thomas Huth 2016-10-04 10:54:14 UTC
Checking shell scripts for portability (i.e. POSIX compliance) is very cumbersome with RHEL, since there is only have the "bash" shell available in RHEL7. Using an alternative shell that is more restricted to the POSIX standard would be very helpful here. Thus my request: Could you please provide a dash package for EPEL7, too?

Comment 1 Japheth Cleaver 2018-08-30 23:12:49 UTC
This would be greatly appreciated if it could be added back in. For being actually in RHEL 6, its absence in EPEL 7 at the very least has caused users to have to maintain it separately. The latest F29 RPM, updated to upstream dash-0.5.10.2, seems to recompile for EL7 w/o issues.

It does not appear so.

Filipe, for tracking should a new ticket be opened against Fedora EPEL instead of rawhide? Looks like the update system just closed this directly on the F2x updates.
