Checking shell scripts for portability (i.e. POSIX compliance) is very cumbersome with RHEL, since there is only have the "bash" shell available in RHEL7. Using an alternative shell that is more restricted to the POSIX standard would be very helpful here. Thus my request: Could you please provide a dash package for EPEL7, too?
This would be greatly appreciated if it could be added back in. For being actually in RHEL 6, its absence in EPEL 7 at the very least has caused users to have to maintain it separately. The latest F29 RPM, updated to upstream dash-0.5.10.2, seems to recompile for EL7 w/o issues.
