Description of problem: RHV-H 4.0 does not come with the 'sysstat' rpm installed. I realise now that we can install packages in RHV-H, but they will apparently not persist an upgrade. 'sysstat' provides 'sar', and in Support we often need to evaluate the sar files on a RHEV-H/RHV-H host, so having this available is important. Since 'sysstat' was included in RHEV-H 3.x, this is essentially a regression in functionality. I have not found anything documented that states that customers will need to install 'sysstat', for example, in order to retain functionality they had before and, equally importantly, to be able to provide performance data to Red Hat Support when requested. This bug depends upon BZ 1382833, as 'crond' will need to be running too. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): RVH_4.0 20160919.0.el7 How reproducible: Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3. Actual results: Expected results: Additional info:
RHVH QE can reproduce this issue, so give qa_ack+
Test version: redhat-virtualization-host-4.1-20170116.0 imgbased-0.9.4-0.1.el7ev.noarch redhat-release-virtualization-host-4.1-0.5.el7.x86_64 Test steps: 1. Install RHVH 2. Login to RHVH 3. Check sysstat package: #rpm -qa |grep sysstat 4. Execute a sar command: #sar -u 1 5 Test result: After step3, get the sysstat package version sysstat-10.1.5-11.el7.x86_64. After step4, cup infos are printed on the screen. So, this bug is fixed, change the status to VERIFIED.
