Unlike gnupg, gnupg2 is pretty much guaranteed to be installed
nowadays, and supports gnome-keyring.

On a 2nd thought, yes it actually would, thanks for the sanity check. Revised 'git am'able patch attached, let me know if you'd like me to push and build this for devel (and F-25?).
