Description of problem: When we install an iscsi gateway on a dedicated node(non colocated), this node will not have the ceph.conf and admin keyring. Cuurently we copy the admin keyring from the Seed_mon to the gateway node. However the ceph.conf file is not copied. Can we add a step to check for the ceph.conf availability on the gateway node, and copy it from the seed_mon? Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): ceph-ansible-1.0.5-36.el7scon.noarch ceph-iscsi-ansible-1.2-1.el7scon.noarch How reproducible: Always
Looking at ways to achieve this. The synchronize module could be used, but this means the mons need rsync - which may not be ideal.
please retest with v1.3. The playbook now installs ceph-common which creates /etc/ceph and then populates the directory from the seed monitor
Verified in version: ceph-iscsi-config-1.3-1.el7cp.noarch ceph-iscsi-ansible-1.3-1.el7cp.noarch
