Description of problem: vm-support script uses lspci but open-vm-tools does not depend on pciutils. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): open-vm-tools-10.0.5-2.el7.x86_64
Seems a simple enough change. I made the corresponding fix in Fedora Rawhide.
WW16.3 Update: Verified this issue with RHEL7.4 - kernel - 3.10.0-632.el7.x86_64 ENV; Host: ESXi6.5 Guest: RHEL7.4 Kernel: 3.10.0-632.el7.x86_64 Steps: 1. Install target VM based on above ENV 2. "rpm -qR open-vm-tools | grep pciutils" Result: 1. After step 2, open-vm-tools depends on pciutils
