Description of problem: Python 3 is available in EPEL7 repository, so it is possible to make a python-markdown Python 3 package. You could also use %{python3_pkgversion} macro as you can see in http://pkgs.fedoraproject.org/cgit/rpms/python-gfm.git/tree/python-gfm.spec
Not having a python34-markdown package available in EPEL7, causes the /usr/libexec/cgit/filters/html-converters/md2html filter in cgit to fail.
