What happens when you tick port mirroring and use the profile? When i tick the port mirroring checkbox and press 'OK" i get: Error while executing action: Cannot edit VM network interface profile. 'Port Mirroring' and 'Qos' are not supported on passthrough profiles. Marcin, I'm sorry, but this fix has nothing to do with the bug in the subject and it has nothing related to external networks. Verified on - 4.2.0-0.0.master.20170815155420.gitaed789a.el7.centos This bugzilla is included in oVirt 4.2.0 release, published on Dec 20th 2017. Since the problem described in this bug report should be resolved in oVirt 4.2.0 release, published on Dec 20th 2017, it has been closed with a resolution of CURRENT RELEASE. If the solution does not work for you, please open a new bug report. |
Created attachment 1216425 [details] screenshot Description of problem: [UI] - "Port Mirroring' property is editable although the 'passthrough' property is marked on edit vNIC profile dialog. 'Port Mirroring' cannot be set if the vNIC profile is 'passthrough' when creating new 'passthrough' vNIC profile and it's grayed out, but, when editing this vNIC profile, the 'Port Mirroring' checkbox is editable and we can set 'Port Mirroring' for the 'passthrough' profile. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 4.0.5.4-0.1.el7ev How reproducible: 100% Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create new vNIC profile and check the 'passthrough' checkbox('Port Mirroring' is grayed out), approve operation. 2. Edit the vNIC profile Actual results: It is possible to check the 'Port Mirroring' checkbox. Expected results: 'Port Mirroring' checkbox should be grayed out.
