Red Hat Bugzilla – Bug 1391995
RPM description in libusnic_verbs is incorrect
Last modified: 2017-08-01 12:55:15 EDT
Description of problem: The description in the libusnic_verbs RPM is incorrect. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): RHEL 7.3, libusnic_verbs-2.0.1-4.el7.x86_64 How reproducible: Every time. Steps to Reproduce: 1. rpm -qip libusnic_verbs-2.0.1-4.el7.x86_64 Actual results: The description says: "libusnic_verbs provides a device-specific userspace driver for Cisco Virtual NICs for use with the libibverbs library. This package also includes an usnic_udp_pingpong modified from ibv_ud_pingpong that works with libusnic_verbs." Expected results: The RPM does not include usnic_udp_pingpong. Here's suggested text for the description: This is a dummy plugin for libibverbs for Cisco usNIC devices; its only purpose is to avoid spurious warning messages from libibverbs when it sees usNIC kernel devices. Cisco usNIC functionality is delivered through libfabric (instead of libibverbs). Additional info:
