Description Jeffrey Cutter 2016-11-22 22:52:31 UTC
Description of problem:

Under Wayland, using virt-manager to access the console of a Windows 10 VM, the View -> Resize to VM option resizes the window too large and creates a black border around the window. This does not happen under Xorg. I have experienced this on 2 separate Fedora 25 systems upgraded to F25 from F24 today.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

How reproducible:

Constant.

Steps to Reproduce:

Log into Wayland, start virt-manager, start a Windows 10 VM, open the console, View -> Resize to VM, observe border.

Actual results:

Black border around Windows console.

Expected results:

No border around Windows console.

Additional info:

Will attach screenshots.

Comment 9 Reader News 2016-12-17 18:43:37 UTC
I just updated to virt-manager from 1.4.0-4 to 1.4.0-5, and the VM window, when resize to VM, is still too big with black borders. The borders are thinner than before, but still the size calculation is obvious wrong.

Comment 10 Reader News 2016-12-17 19:41:22 UTC
The Windows 7 VM resize correctly. But Fedora 25 VM does not.
