Description of problem:
There are no document templates in the desktop menu, like there are in
KDE. The only choice is for creating a document on the desktop is
"Empty File".

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Right click on GNOME desktop.
2. Select "Create Document" from flyout menu.
3. See "No templates installed" and "Empty Document"
    

Expected Results:  Ther should be choices in the menu, like Text
Document, the OpenOffice.org stuff, etc.

OK, very embarrassed here. I READ THE ONLINE HELP (doh), which simply
states that you can create templates from documents that you
frequently create... create an empty document and save it in a folder
called Templates in your home directory, and it will appear on the
desktop menu.

In order to save a little bit of face, I would still suggest that
maybe some basic templates be included in the menu.
