Description Kenneth Ayers 2004-11-19 16:24:32 UTC
From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/125.5.5 (KHTML, like Gecko) Safari/125.11

Description of problem:
There aren't any floppy images for x86_64, only a boot.iso file. The manual claims that there should be. http://www.redhat.com/docs/manuals/enterprise/RHEL-3-Manual/x8664-multi-install-guide/s1-steps-install-cdrom.html#S2-STEPS-MAKE-DISKS I have the latest versions of the cds, but do not see these files.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Mount CD
2. Look in /images
3. Notice the lack of a file called "bootdisk.img"

Additional info:

Comment 1 Jeremy Katz 2004-11-19 16:42:13 UTC
The x86_64 kernel is too large to fit within the limited capacity of a
floppy disk, hence there can't be a bootdisk.img
