Description Andrew Kofink 2016-12-08 19:59:13 UTC
Description of problem:
Currently, a non-recursive errata unit_copy only copies the errata without the packages included in the errata. A recursive copy copies the packages included in the errata as well as their dependencies. There is no way to copy the errata and its included packages without the package dependencies.

Additional info:
I'm honestly not sure if there's even a use case for non-recursive errata copy, since the packages that address the errata are not available in that case. I would be interested in learning what that use case might be.

Comment 2 Michael Hrivnak 2016-12-13 21:46:58 UTC
We can add this behavior to pulp, but I am hesitant to add an upstream story if the use case isn't certain here. Could we get a stronger vision of what use case this would facilitate, and how important that is?

I set the priority and severity to unspecified until we get more information.
