multiple ctrl+n didn't turn up anything here. I wonder if its more generic than evince, what's the version of gtk3 ?
GTK is 3.22.4-1. Forgot to say I have an external monitor via a docking station.
I can reproduce this systematically here: it always happens the second time I open a new window using the context menu on a hyperlink.
