The following:

Has been proposed as a solution to increase performance for large data sets by hiding VMs when viewing this page on 5.6 (darga).  This changes the default behavior significantly, so this is under review if it is currently something that we wish to backport.

The equivalency of this code is however available in the next release, with additional changes to better support the configuration of Hiding VMs in the VMs tree.  When the fate of the above PR is decided, I will update this ticket.

Removing the 5.6.z flag as the proposed change is not needed in this release based on performance feedback from the field and the 5.7.z is being removed because the 5.7.0 release already contains a more comprehensive solution to the described performance issue.
