Description of problem: While (graphical) installing FC3, the RPMS sizes are displayed incorrectly. For ex: openoffice-i18n-....RPM actually 111MB, but (in Graphical Install), anaconda displays as 632MB. The same thing appears to most of the pakcages (like, kdelibs, gnome-games, etc) Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): How reproducible: Easy. Steps to Reproduce: 1.Just install the FC3 on i686 m/c. While it asking the 2nd CD look for the openoffice-i18n RPM size. It displays (632MB). goto 2nd Virtual Screen and type the following command. ll -h /mnt/source/Fedora/RPMS/open*.rpm Actual results: Displays 632MB. Expected results: Display 111MB. Additional info:
It is not in FC3 test3 but in FC3 Release. I hope FC3 test3 also have the same issue.
The size of the package file on disk is not the same as the size of the package when it's uncompressed and on the filesystem. We show the latter as it's more useful to know.
