Description of problem: =========================== When an admin enables server side quorum, It is really appreciated if we can automatically set the default quorum ratio to 51% Currently the default is 0% which doens't make any sense. When we know a server side quorum is to have a optimal qourum facility, why not change the default to 51%, no user would want to have quorum ratio as 0 , if he/she is enabling server quorum. Yes, the user can change it to recommended % using cli, but we must have the default as 51% instead of 0. I am confident that no user would want to have 0(which is as good as not enabling server quorum) Let us set to 51% and then the admin can change it some other ratio based on requirements Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): =========== 3.8.4-3.el7rhgs.x86_64
As such the quorum ratio is set to 51% by default. However when we go a get of the option, it shows 0 We need to reflect that it is 51% in the vol option cluster.server-quorum-ratio 0 ===>this should show as 51% [root@dhcp47-147 ~]# gluster v get rep3 all|grep quorum cluster.quorum-type none cluster.quorum-count (null) cluster.server-quorum-type server cluster.server-quorum-ratio 0 cluster.quorum-reads no Hence bringing down the severity
