Unable to update extensions from the Gnome Shell Extension after the last two firefox updates

Comment 1 Martin Stransky 2017-02-01 20:08:25 UTC
Mozilla is removing NPAPI plugin support from Firefox 52 so the gnome-shell plugin is not going to working in Firefox 52 and later anyway.

Comment 2 Martin Stransky 2017-02-01 21:48:40 UTC
This may help (but for FF < 52.0).

1) go to "about:addons" or Tools->Add-ons.
2) select "Plug-ins"
3) Choose "GNOME Shell Integration" plugin and select "Always activate"

also see if the "GNOME Shell Integration" plugin is even installed.
