Description of problem: When I mounted an IRiver mp3 player, which had Korean file names for some of the files on it, the kernel would hang when trying to view those directories that contained files with Korean names. There was no problem to list directories which had standard ASCII file names though. Usually the ls command would segfault and then retrying would cause the kernel to hang. It was then not possible to unmount the IRiver player and the only option was to reboot the computer. An update has been released for Fedora Core 3 (kernel-2.6.12-1.1372_FC3) which may contain a fix for your problem. Please update to this new kernel, and report whether or not it fixes your problem.
