Description Jaspreet Kaur 2017-02-06 18:11:30 UTC
Description of problem:
When installing etcd in openshift 3.3 it installs package 3.0.15 which doesn't go with :

https://access.redhat.com/articles/2176281

Inaddition to that below logs are seen in oc v3.3.1.11 version:

Feb 6 11:49:55 master yum[120525]: Installed: etcd-3.0.15-1.el7.x86_64
Feb 6 12:27:00 master openshift: purged file /var/lib/origin/openshift.local.etcd/member/snap/000000000000000a-000000000071d78a.snap successfully
Feb 6 12:39:44 master yum[5905]: Erased: etcd-3.0.15-1.el7.x86_64

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

How reproducible:

Steps to Reproduce:
1.
2.
3.

Actual results: 3.0.15 version is installed which is not mentioned anywhere if it is supported with OCP 3.3.x versions

Expected results: There should be a dependency check when installing the package and also the package should not be purged.

Comment 1 Scott Dodson 2017-02-06 18:14:56 UTC
Are there any problems observed in this configuration? We actually prefer that the latest etcd packages be used.

Comment 4 Scott Dodson 2017-02-06 19:43:46 UTC
etcd 3.0 should be fine with all versions of OCP. Until we see evidence that it's not I'm going to mark this bug as closed.
