Description Antonin Pagac 2017-02-07 14:06:03 UTC
Description of problem:
Warning displayed:

"Could not connect to address '<IP>'. Make sure the storage server exists and is up."

From production.log:

"017-02-07 08:53:14 [app] [E] Error running command: showmount <IP>
2017-02-07 08:53:14 [app] [E] Status code: 1
2017-02-07 08:53:14 [app] [E] Command output: rpc mount dump: RPC: Timed out
 |
2017-02-07 08:53:14 [app] [W] Could not connect to address '<IP>'. Make sure the storage server exists and is up. rpc mount dump: RPC: Timed out"

There were no errors when defining the Gluster storage for RHV and OCP deployment. When I ignore the warnings and kick off the deployment, RHV is able to install fine using the Gluster storage. I can see the files that were created during installation.

I'm using Gluster storage which is not located on Satellite provisioning network.

I tried manually command 'showmount <IP>' from Satellite machine. The command runs fine, but doesn't return any results.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
QCI-1.1-RHEL-7-20170203.t.0

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
0. Have working Gluster storage setup which is not located on Satellite provisioning network
1. Define a deployment with Gluster
2. Go to Installation Review page
3. Warnings appear

Actual results:
Warnings appear; when ignored, deployment continues fine and succeeds

Expected results:
No warning should appear
