Description of problem: After a recent update various git and perl packages were listed as having broken dependencies. Erasing polymake fixes this. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): polymake-3.0r2-1.fc25.i686 How reproducible: If polymake-3.0r2-1.fc25.i686 is re-installed various git and perl packages show broken dependencies Re-installing polymake using "dnf install --best --allowerasing polymake" has the effect of downgrading git and perl packages, but they still show broken dependencies. Erasing polymake fixes this.
The problem currently blocks the installation of sagemath, which is a widely used public domain computer algebra system, and which competes with commercial products such as Mathematica, Magma, Maple, etc.
