Description of problem: When changing settings in KMail the settings are not saved. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): kmail.x86_64 16.08.3-2.fc25 kmail.x86_64 16.08.3-2.fc24 (kmail 5.3.3) How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Launch Kmail 2. Hit View -> Headers 3. Select "Fancy Headers" 4. Note header in displayed message changes 5. Exit kmail 6. Reload kmail Actual results: Header in displayed messages goes back to "KMail 5.2" Expected results: Header in displayed message uses "Fancy Headers" Additional info: - Seems to affect most settings (ie. Settings->KMail->Security->Prefer HTML) though with some settings the configuration sticks but doesn't seem to be read on kmail launch. - Workaround: 1. Load Kmail 2. Hit "Settings->KMail" 3. Press OK (no need to change anything, just hit OK) - After this the settings appear to reload. Seems Kmail on Fedora is not reading all the settings when it loads. This occurs on both Fedora 24 and Fedora 25 and has been happening for a while now (at least a year). This bug report was based on a fresh install of Fedora 25. I didn't file earlier because I thought it might be specific to my setup but after doing a fresh F25 install (with all latest stable updates installed) on a new computer I noticed the same problem.

The upgrade was a disaster but this is fixed with the latest updates installed.
