rmmod intel_ips help

Comment 2 Sergei LITVINENKO 2017-02-19 14:15:03 UTC
issue was simple

fresh installed fedora-25 (from Fedora-KDE-Live-x86_64-25-1.3.iso) has parameter "nomodeset" in /etc/default/grub. This parameter block standard intel video functionality.

[root@ua-dudn00000 default]# cat grub.origin
GRUB_TIMEOUT=5
GRUB_DISTRIBUTOR="$(sed 's, release .*$,,g' /etc/system-release)"
GRUB_DEFAULT=saved
GRUB_DISABLE_SUBMENU=true
GRUB_TERMINAL_OUTPUT="console"
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="nomodeset rhgb quiet"
GRUB_DISABLE_RECOVERY="true"

Deleting "nomodeset" solve issue.

So, bug is related to parametrization during installation process

Comment 3 Laura Abbott 2017-02-20 16:15:59 UTC
I'm guessing you booted the live CD in basic graphics mode which sets nomodeset on the command line. Can you attach /var/log/anaconda/anaconda.log to see what got selected?

*********** MASS BUG UPDATE **************

We apologize for the inconvenience. There is a large number of bugs to go through and several of them have gone stale. Due to this, we are doing a mass bug update across all of the Fedora 25 kernel bugs.

Fedora 25 has now been rebased to 4.10.9-200.fc25. Please test this kernel update (or newer) and let us know if you issue has been resolved or if it is still present with the newer kernel.

If you have moved on to Fedora 26, and are still experiencing this issue, please change the version to Fedora 26.

If you experience different issues, please open a new bug report for those.

Comment 6 Sergei LITVINENKO 2017-04-20 17:36:21 UTC
