Description of problem: Importing VMs from VMware will fail on a RHV host if it's a host which is updated from RHV-M portal. The libguestfs-test-tool will fail with below error. supermin: failed to find a suitable kernel (host_cpu=x86_64). I looked for kernels in /boot and modules in /lib/modules. Kernel image in the RHV host is under /boot/rhvh* . However supermin only checks for the kernel image in /boot/vmlinuz-*.$arch* . Since the new Kernel image is not available in /boot/ , it fails with error "failed to find a suitable kernel" . Creating a symlink like below will fix the issue. ln -s /boot/rhvh-4.0-0.20170104.0+1/vmlinuz-3.10.0-514.2.2.el7.x86_64 /boot/vmlinuz-3.10.0-514.2.2.el7.x86_64 Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): How reproducible: 100% Steps to Reproduce: 1. Update a RHV host from the RHV-M portal 2. Run libguestfs-test-tool after upgrade Actual results: virt-v2v is not working on a updated RHV host Expected results: virt-v2v should work.
