Description of problem: Since RHOS10 [1]: ~~~~ Director Integration The Shared File System service (manila) is now a composable controller service deployable through director, and is now fully supported. With this release, the NetApp driver is also fully integrated into director, thereby enabling NetApp back end configuration for the Shared File System service out-of-the-box. The CephFS native driver (Technology Preview) is also fully integrated into director. ~~~~ But even though officially supported, there's zero documentation on how to deploy it with the Director (there's a procedure on how to install the service manually [2] but that's another thing). We could at least use the upstream doc: https://docs.openstack.org/developer/tripleo-docs/advanced_deployment/deploy_manila.html Preferably double-checking with Engineering/QE for bugs: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1400703 [1] https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-us/red_hat_openstack_platform/10/html/release_notes/ch02s07 [2] https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-us/red_hat_openstack_platform/10/html/manual_installation_procedures/chap-openstack_fileshare_installation
I think this is covered by BZ1379905 [1] which yielded this document covering how to deploy manila via OSPd with a NetApp backend [2]. Thanks for the prompt info, Tom. :) *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 1379905 ***
