Note: This bug is displayed in read-only format because the product is no longer active in Red Hat Bugzilla.
RHEL Engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on RHEL 6 through RHEL 9 to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs in the statuses "NEW", "ASSIGNED", and "POST" are being migrated throughout September 2023. Bugs of Red Hat partners with an assigned Engineering Partner Manager (EPM) are migrated in late September as per pre-agreed dates. Bugs against components "kernel", "kernel-rt", and "kpatch" are only migrated if still in "NEW" or "ASSIGNED". If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/RHEL-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Description Qian Cai 2017-03-01 21:21:50 UTC
Description of problem:
I am not sure this is a typo or by design but CA certs for redhat.io does not look right.

# rpm -ql docker
...
/etc/docker/certs.d/redhat.io
/etc/docker/certs.d/redhat.io/redhat-ca.crt
...

Same for docker-latest as well.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
docker-1.12.6-11.el7.x86_64

How reproducible:
always

Comment 2 Daniel Walsh 2017-03-01 21:24:59 UTC
What do you think they should look like?

Comment 3 Qian Cai 2017-03-01 21:30:31 UTC
I don't know. What is redhat.io ? Does it suppose to be docker.io ?

Comment 4 Daniel Walsh 2017-03-01 21:35:28 UTC
redhat.io is supposed to be the future location of Red Hat container images.
registry.access.redhat.com

Comment 5 Qian Cai 2017-03-01 21:38:38 UTC
Interesting. No issue then.

Comment 6 Daniel Walsh 2017-03-01 21:45:42 UTC
Well we probably should have symbolic link from registries.access.redhat.com to this directory

Comment 7 Qian Cai 2017-03-01 22:01:51 UTC
Might be tidier. Feel free to re-open if you are keen.

Comment 8 Daniel Walsh 2017-06-30 15:18:59 UTC
Franticek could you make this change?

Comment 9 Frantisek Kluknavsky 2017-07-04 14:59:22 UTC
Sure I can, but do we really want it? We already have redhat.io/redhat-ca.crt and redhat.com/redhat-ca.crt, both symlinks pointing to /etc/rhsm/caredhat-uep.pem. Is a new symlink registries.access.redhat.com useful when we have redhat.com already?

Comment 10 Daniel Walsh 2017-07-05 10:42:14 UTC
If that satisfies the requirements of this bug then we should close it as fixed in the current release.

Comment 14 Luwen Su 2017-08-23 08:18:40 UTC
The ``redhat.io`` have had the symlinks

# rpm -q docker
docker-1.12.6-54.gitc4618fb.el7.x86_64

# ll /etc/docker/certs.d/redhat.io
total 0
lrwxrwxrwx. 1 root root 27 Aug 23 16:14 redhat-ca.crt -> /etc/rhsm/ca/redhat-uep.pem
# ll /etc/docker/certs.d/redhat.io/redhat-ca.crt
lrwxrwxrwx. 1 root root 27 Aug 23 16:14 /etc/docker/certs.d/redhat.io/redhat-ca.crt -> /etc/rhsm/ca/redhat-uep.pem
