From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; Konqueror/3.3; Linux) (KHTML, like Gecko) Description of problem: I wanted to try out fedora on an external USB Harddisk, but it isn't possible with the installer, it doesn't see the disk. The harddisk is (as most external harddisks) a usual usb mass storage device, so this could simply be changed by loading the usb-storage module before starting the disk druid. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. boot fedora install cd. 2. select manual partitioning Actual Results: external usb hdd doesn't appear. Expected Results: should be possible to install on external hdd. Additional info:
Unfortunately, we don't support installation to USB drives due to some of the fun related issues around actually then being able to boot the system.
