Description of problem: The main cinnamon package is missing from EPEL: cinnamon-2.8.8-2.el7.x86_64.rpm. This package is currently in the MIT mirror (http://mirrors.mit.edu/epel/7/x86_64/c/) but not in the main epel repo (https://dl.fedoraproject.org/pub/epel/7/x86_64/c/). Cinnamon will not install correctly or run without this package. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): cinnamon-2.8.8-2.el7.x86_64.rpm How reproducible: Download cinnamon* from epel. Logout or reboot. Cinnamon does not appear in the DM as an option. I have tested with both GDM and lightDM. It is not a display manager issue. Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3. Actual results: Cinnamon does not appear as a desktop option in the display manager. Expected results: Cinnamon appears as an option in the DM. Additional info:
I believe this is also related to the absence of the zukitwo gtk2, gtk3 and metacity themes for which cinnamon is dependent upon.
(In reply to Erik J from comment #1) > I believe this is also related to the absence of the zukitwo. It seems like someone or some automated system has retired cinnamon due to the absence of the zukitwo. https://admin.fedoraproject.org/pkgdb/package/rpms/cinnamon/ I have applied for un-retirement, if they force a re-review I will retire the whole stack for epel7 due to limited time.
