In order to perform smart-state-analysis by ManageIQ for RHV storage domains, RHV should define a Restful API to provide the required information. For each storage domain (including ISO and EXPORT where relevant) the following information is required: 1. VM Provisioned disk files 2. VM Snapshot files 3. VM Memory files 4. Other VM files 5. Non VM files For each file, the following attributes are required: 1. Name (including suffix) 2. Size 3. mtime 4. type (file/dir) 5. Base name 6. Extension name 7. Storage ID 8. VM or Templates IDS to which the disk belongs.
Is this a bug? RFE? Severity?
(In reply to Yaniv Kaul from comment #1) > Is this a bug? RFE? > Severity? I marked this as RFE. Currently, the lack of this functionality prevents RHV from providing the information required by the data-store smart-state-analysis of CloudForms. With the existing restapi collection: ovirt-engine/api/storagedomains/{id}/disks we can provide only partial of the information for the data/export storage domains. With that in mind, I'd mark this as MEDIUM, and let the PM decide if it should get a higher severity, based on the necessity of this feature for RHV.
Targeted to 4.2 with high priority, to enable support on SSA. please let me know if storage group sees issues with it.
The internals of a storage domain aren't a public API, and I don't see us ever exposing them as such. Not to mention the fact that discussing files is just wrong in this context.
