Description of problem: Currently the katello event queue in qpidd is using the default queue size which is too small. We should increase this to be able to handle ~1 million messages. https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-US/Red_Hat_Enterprise_MRG/2/html/Messaging_Installation_and_Configuration_Guide/Create_and_Configure_Queues_using_qpid_config.html This is only to prevent the standard flow of messages from causing QPID to start putting Candlepin into an error state due to the qpid putting the qpid sender into a flow_stopped state.
Also, what's a good value? Is this --max-queue-size? Since the value is in bytes, how big does it need to be to support ~1 million messages?
I honestly have no idea the size :) my suggestion is to stop the katello listener (foreman-tasks) cause it to generate some large # of messages (say 10K) and measure the size of the queue. I would say ask the candlepin team, but I doubt they'd be able to give us much information as well as it all depends on the data being sent.
