Description David Balažic 2000-07-20 16:41:51 UTC
I installed xf86cfg ( from disk 2 or power-tools ) from
XFree 4.x , but it doesn't work.

After start it tries to display some icons, but they are
all blank. If I choose "Configure Modeline" in the upper
menu, then it freezes. Everything freezes , only the mouse
pointer is alive. VT switching doesn't work, SysReq has no
effect. I had to hard reset or power-down.

It also spewed a lot of output on stderr , I attached it
as a text file.

Comment 2 David Balažic 2000-08-16 15:08:31 UTC
A lot better in pinstripe. Mostly works.
I just couldn't figure out how to add additional VESA
modes, like 1024x768. Also couldn't set the screen size
and position for any mode except 640x480x60.

Comment 3 David Balažic 2000-08-30 08:00:58 UTC
Pretty much the same in RC1.

Comment 4 Preston Brown 2000-09-11 18:52:40 UTC
we don't support xf86cfg, only Xconfigurator.
