That’s not the upstream for libnice though.

Upstream libnice is not being maintained actively enough, and so contributions which are coming in from other people are not being reviewed or accepted fast enough (or at all). Something needs to be done to fix upstream.

(I am an upstream contributor, and don’t have any free time to maintain things adequately.)

This message is a reminder that Fedora 25 is nearing its end of life.
Approximately 4 (four) weeks from now Fedora will stop maintaining
and issuing updates for Fedora 25. It is Fedora's policy to close all
bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time
this bug will be closed as EOL if it remains open with a Fedora  'version'
of '25'.

plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version'
to a later Fedora version.

Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's
lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a
more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes
bugs or makes them obsolete.

This has not had any changes since being filed, moving to rawhide.

Is there any reason to not move to 1.1.14 at least instead of heavily patching up the 3-year-old 1.13.0 that is currently in Fedora with a 400KB patch?

I think Brian is gone and nothing in Fedora Workstation use this library anymore, so would be good if you sent a request to Fedora-devel suggesting the package gets officially orphaned

I already asked for the ownership of libnice (see bug #1537235 comment #2)
but if more people are willing to help with this, it is even better!

We are now updating libnice to the latest upstream release (see bug #1438620).  The repository mentioned in comment #0 is not an upstream repository and it appears outdated anyway.  Closing...
