Description of problem: F26 changed the order in /etc/nsswitch.conf to: passwd: sss files systemd when it used to be: passwd: files sss This broke a regex in rpm-ostree and causes images to not boot properly. See https://pagure.io/atomic-wg/issue/257 See https://github.com/projectatomic/rpm-ostree/pull/686 Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): rpm-ostree-2017.3-2.fc26
Proposed as a Freeze Exception for 26-alpha by Fedora user dustymabe using the blocker tracking app because: includes fix for rpm-ostree and should allow images to boot and a login prompt presented to the user.
rpm-ostree-2017.3-3.fc26 has been submitted as an update to Fedora 26. https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2017-861ed077d2
+1 FE, impact should be restricted to ostree's and it'd be good to have this fixed in stable before freeze is lifted.
+1 FE
tested in the same way as I did for a previous bug [1]. I was able to build a tree and install it (via a kickstart) and verify I could reach a login prompt. [1] https://bugzilla.redhat.com/attachment.cgi?id=1262175
That's +4, setting accepted.
rpm-ostree-2017.3-3.fc26 has been pushed to the Fedora 26 stable repository. If problems still persist, please make note of it in this bug report.
