Upstream's patchset cherry-picked as Jan Ritzerfeld did so, see:

The latest upstream release will likely also fix this - 2.5.14 as of last week: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1440445

Fedora still being on 2.5.12 prevents digital camera programs from working with iPhones at all. There's been a fix available for three months, could 2.5.14 be pushed to updates please?
