Moving to Software Collections Note that I had to log out and log back in to see the updated menu labels in Gnome Shell. Verified in RHSCL 2.4 RC (rh-eclipse46-eclipse-4.6.3-3.1.el7, rh-eclipse46-eclipse-cdt-9.2.1-2.1.el7) Since the problem described in this bug report should be resolved in a recent advisory, it has been closed with a resolution of ERRATA. For information on the advisory, and where to find the updated files, follow the link below. If the solution does not work for you, open a new bug report. https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHEA-2017:1142 |
Created attachment 1264823 [details] screenshot of the applications->programming menu when multiple versions of Eclipse are installed Who is the customer behind the request? Account: Siemens Energy (482988) TAM customer: yes SRM customer: no Strategic: yes What is the nature and description of the request? - requesting that the name on for the Eclipse icon/shortcut in applications->programming also include the version number of the application. Why does the customer need this? (List the business requirements here) - They need to have multiple versions of Eclipse installed for application support reasons. When looking in the menu it is impossible to distinguish which version of Eclipse the menu entry points to as they are identical. (see screenshot attached.)
