Description of problem: We need to rebuild this component against OCaml 4.04.0. Unfortunately I was hoping we'd get this done in RHEL 7.4, but it looks like it'll now be deferred to RHEL 7.5. Version: brltty-4.5-14.el7
FYI there is a private branch (private-rjones-rhel-7.5-rebase) which contains a small OCaml fix and a rebuild commit. I tested this with RHEL 7.4 + OCaml 4.04.1 + the test described in https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1393750#c17 and #c18 It compiles OK, but does not run, as described in the other bug.
This works now.
Richard, would the patch for this impact https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1443262 ?
(In reply to Gwyn Ciesla from comment #4) > Richard, would the patch for this impact > https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1443262 ? Regarding patch mentioned/pushed in bug 1393750 it's backport from the upstream.
So totally orthogonal to the Python issue. Thanks!
Tested in: brltty-4.5-16.el7 * brltty was built with ocaml-4.05.0-6.el7 * all dependencies were installed * tests were run and worked good -> VERIFIED
