The owner of that impact should increase the priority and severity, otherwise nothing will change. This impact does make it hard to analyse kernel issues with the new intel proc-architecture.
Priority and severity fields aren't editable. Not by me, at least.
Same problem here on fc25 with Ivybridge CPU. According to koji, mcelog-137 was built from git on 2016-05-26 23:10:57 for fc25. It's been rebuilt by releng ever since for succeeding releases. According to https://github.com/andikleen/mcelog/issues/1, this issue was fixed upstream in November of 2016. Please update mcelog to current upstream. Thanks, Gene
I tweaked the spec file from the fedora mcelog-137 srpm, downloaded the latest release, v153, from https://github.com/andikleen/mcelog/releases, and built a new rpm with rpmbuild. This issue is resolved by the current upstream version. Here's the spec file diff: $ diff mcelog-137.spec mcelog-153.spec 3c3 < Version: 137 --- > Version: 153 55c55 < %doc README CHANGES --- > %doc README.md CHANGES 63a64,66 > * Fri Aug 18 2017 Gene Snider <anon> - 3:153-1 > - update to latest upstream release tag >
v153 fixes this problem. I will update to that version. P.

I'd be happy to test it, but I'm running fc25. Any chance of building this for fc25 and fc27? Gene
Salut, i tested the updated version and the problem disappeared on my Intel(R) Pentium(R) CPU J4205 @ 1.50GHz. [root@chasmash ~]# /usr/sbin/mcelog mcelog: Family 6 Model 92 CPU: only decoding architectural errors
