Red Hat Bugzilla – Bug 1435973
[RFE] - Show actual date and not time since report in Config Report
Last modified: 2018-10-16 11:28:08 EDT
Created redmine issue http://projects.theforeman.org/issues/19047 from this bug
Upstream bug assigned to mhulan@redhat.com
*** Bug 1254122 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
Moving this bug to POST for triage into Satellite 6 since the upstream issue http://projects.theforeman.org/issues/19047 has been resolved.
The upstream discussion changed the direction a bit. It seems both date formats are valuable so we changed it in a way that actual date is displayed while mouse cursor is hovering. Simon, please check with the customer whether this is acceptable.

I'll check and provide feedback once I have discussed this with the customer.
I first unassigned the issue, as we have not change the relative vs. absolute, on the other hand, as we're now showing the absolute time in pop-up, it seems like it would actually solve the unnecessary clicking issue, so I think it might be actually ok to mark this as fixed. What do you think?
That was exactly my thinking but I kept it linked. We'll see what we'll hear from the reporter (see comment 7)
Given we didn't get any additional inputs, I believe the original issue is addressing the customer concers about the current state and setting the bz to post: it doesn't change the default way of formatting the dates, but makes it much easier to get to the other format.
