Description Vivek Das 2017-04-06 03:45:59 UTC
Description of problem:
The VSS feature is not working as i am able to take a snapshot, able to see .snaps directory with all the snaps available in windows mount but i am unable to restore data.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
samba-client-4.6.2-0.el7rhgs.x86_64
glusterfs-3.8.4-21.el7rhgs.x86_64
Windows 10
How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Create a samba-ctdb setup with Distributed-Replicate volume
2.Enable USS plugins
3.Enable VSS plugins
4.Take a snapshot and activate the snapshot
5.Mount the volume in the windows client
6.Check for the .snaps directory having the snapshot present in it
7.Try changing data and then restoring data

Actual results:
No restore data is available

Expected results:
Should be able to restore data after changes to data available in the mount.

Additional info:

Comment 12 Vivek Das 2017-05-03 04:00:48 UTC
After upgrading to the latest samba version i.e samba-4.6.3-0.el7rhgs i am able to restore snapshots in windows.
Tried scenarios like
1) taking a snapshot
2) Activating snapshot
3) Deleting already present files in windows mount
4) Right clicking and restoring the data back.

Looks fine so marking the bug as verified.
