Created attachment 1269180 [details] 1st one Description of problem: Open libreoffice in any language, when user navigates menu items one by one, the "Edit", "Insert", and "Format" menu appearing in such way that it is overlapping with other Menu. Misalignment observed. Other menu items are ok. Screen shot attached. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): libreoffice-base-5.3.1.1-1.fc26 How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install F26 Alpha Workstation 2. Launch libreoffice Writer or oowriter 3. Start navigating Menu items by cursor and mouse-over to other main menu items 4. Observe the vertical sub-menu list appearing for "Edit", "Insert", and "Format" menu Actual results: The sub-menu list for said menu items are vertically overlapping with other Menus and hiding those. Completely misaligned. Expected results: It should be properly aligned and maintain one horizontal alignment across all the Menu items. Additional info: Screen shot attached.

This works as expected: if there is not enough vertical space to render the complete menu "under" its menu item, it is moved up and right (or left). If it bothers you, use a bigger resolution.
Hi David, Ok, got your point. I have 2 points here to discuss. 1. Ideally when a scroll point is given for the menu list which does not fit fully with the given vertical space. In that case, the whole menu list should not move up even for the smaller resolution system or VM. 2. Are all possible display devices with different resolutions are being kept in mind or there is any benchmark resolution and above is expected? Just curious. :) Regards Satya
