Red Hat Satellite engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on Satellite to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs will be migrated starting at the end of May. If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/SAT-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

creating custom widgets on Red Hat Satellite

add/remove pre-existing widgets available


Additional info:
A widget that shows the quantity of server per host collection or host group
A widget that shows an small result set of a query/search like:  "facts.lcm_platform = wls" and let us know how many server there are?

facts.bios_vendor = "Dell Inc." There we get a result set of 12 servers. So, a widget with that search could show us a custom label:

Customer wants to have a customize widgets on the dashboard page. As of now we have the limited options of dashboard widgets which can be shown/hidden but can not be tweaked as required. Few requirement is already mentioned, can ask if anything else is required. Accordingly we can check the feasibility with the engineering team to take it further.

As a workaround, a custom plugin could be created to expose this dashboard. Plase see http://projects.theforeman.org/projects/foreman/wiki/How_to_Create_a_Plugin to create the plugin and https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-us/red_hat_satellite/6.2/html/server_administration_guide/chap-red_hat_satellite-server_administration_guide-red_hat_satellite_customizing_satellite_server for adding new plugins.
