1. Proposed title of this feature request -> Install watcher/x-pack plugins over OCP Elasticsearch with client provides the elastic search licensing info. 3. What is the nature and description of the request? -> Right now there is no facility in OCP to generate alerts based on logging data. Elasticsearch prpvides such capacity via plugins. Client is requesting to check if OCP can allow installtion of plugins. 4. Why does the customer need this? (List the business requirements here) there is no facility in OCP to generate alerts based on logging data. Customer want to generate alerts instead of someone monitoring the log files or even kibana dashboard. 5. How would the customer like to achieve this? (List the functional requirements here) Allow/package elasticsearch watcher or xpack plugins with customer provide the license file. 6. For each functional requirement listed, specify how Red Hat and the customer can test to confirm the requirement is successfully implemented. Check if alerts are being generated correctly. 7. Is there already an existing RFE upstream or in Red Hat Bugzilla? I couldn't find one. Hawkular alerts now as elastic query plugin which may be used to achieve this functionalityh. However, HAwkular alerts is not supported on OCP, currently. 8. What information can you provide around timeframes and urgency? It is not an urgent request but it is on the key capabilities client is looking for to use OCP 9. Does the customer have any specific timeline dependencies and which release would they like to target (i.e. RHEL5, RHEL6)? No. 10. List any affected packages or components. OCP Elasticsearch and related installation procedures 11. Would the customer be able to assist in testing this functionality if implemented? I need to check with customer.
