RHEL Engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on RHEL 6 through RHEL 9 to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs in the statuses "NEW", "ASSIGNED", and "POST" are being migrated throughout September 2023. Bugs of Red Hat partners with an assigned Engineering Partner Manager (EPM) are migrated in late September as per pre-agreed dates. Bugs against components "kernel", "kernel-rt", and "kpatch" are only migrated if still in "NEW" or "ASSIGNED". If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/RHEL-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Description Marek Haicman 2017-04-19 12:55:00 UTC
Description of problem:
We want STIG profile aligned with official DISA STIG release. This alignment effort is tracked in upstream project https://github.com/OpenSCAP/scap-security-guide/projects/7

Comment 4 Shawn Wells 2018-03-26 17:22:44 UTC
Is there a reason this bugzilla is marked private?

Comment 9 Marek Haicman 2018-07-31 22:21:34 UTC
DISA STIG v1r4 is part of upstream version 0.1.40

Comment 11 Mirek Jahoda 2018-08-17 10:10:41 UTC
Hello,

Since this BZ is marked to be included in the RHEL 7.6 Release Notes, could you please write a draft of Doc Text using the template? Thank you.

Comment 14 Shawn Wells 2018-08-21 18:37:22 UTC
Still getting caught up on this line:

"The profile now contains rules that match latest requirements by DISA for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 systems."

The phrase "latest requirements" will become outdated fast. DISA releases at a different cadence than RHEL and it's likely such statement will be accidentally misleading overtime. To +1 what Ted Brunell said, suggest dropping that sentence.

Comment 15 Marek Haicman 2018-08-22 10:32:58 UTC
Thank you, Mirek! Looks good now.
